Multan to Alipur Bus Ticket Price, Online Booking, Timing
The Multan to Alipur ticket price starts at about Rs 550 for a booked seat and reaches Rs 700 on the through northern coaches. The journey covers around 110 km and takes two hours, down the west bank through Muzaffargarh and Jatoi.
Short answer: Multan to Alipur booked seats cost Rs 550 to Rs 700 with Faisal Movers, and a shared wagon from Vehari Chowk costs about Rs 250. The journey takes two hours. Alipur is also a scheduled stop on coaches running to Islamabad and the northern areas, so the seat you buy may be two hours of a twenty hour service.
Multan to Alipur ticket price by operator
The Multan to Alipur ticket price splits cleanly in two. One branded operator sells a reserved air conditioned seat with a printed ticket, and the informal wagon traffic charges roughly half that with no seat guarantee at all.
| Bus operator | Class | Route | Journey time | Ticket price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Faisal Movers | Hi Roof, air conditioned | Multan to Alipur via Jatoi | 2h 10m | Rs 550 |
| Faisal Movers | Standard seated, air conditioned | Multan to Alipur via Jatoi | 2h | Rs 620 |
| Faisal Movers | Executive, air conditioned | Northern service calling at Alipur | 2h | Rs 700 |
Fares are indicative published prices and vary with class, season, fuel adjustments and demand. Your live, confirmed fare appears on the seat map before payment.
What the wagons charge, and why they are not in the table
Alipur is served heavily by Hiace and coaster traffic leaving Vehari Chowk whenever it fills, at roughly Rs 250 for the same run. These are not ticketed services, they do not appear on any booking platform and they are not air conditioned. We list operators you can book a named seat with, which is why the wagons sit here in the text rather than in the fare table. In December they are perfectly sensible. In June, on the west bank, they are not.
Why a two hour hop can sell out
Coaches calling at Alipur on the way to Islamabad or Gilgit will not always release a short sector seat, because selling two hours of a twenty hour journey is poor economics for the operator. On a busy weekend the short sector quota closes first. That is not a shortage of buses, it is a shortage of buses willing to carry you.

Which is the best bus service from Multan to Alipur
With one branded operator on the corridor, the decision is not which company but which kind of vehicle, and that is mostly a question of the month.
Vehari Chowk wagons
Leave far more often and cost a fraction of the fare. The right choice in winter or at short notice, as long as you accept no air conditioning.
From Rs 250
Faisal Movers standard
An air conditioned reserved seat with a terminal at both ends. On two hours in South Punjab that is the whole argument.
From Rs 620
Executive on a through service
A long haul coach continuing north. Worth it only when its departure time is the one you wanted anyway.
From Rs 700
Our verdict
Take the Rs 620 standard seat between April and October, when two hours without air conditioning on the west bank is genuinely unpleasant. From November to March, take the wagon and keep the Rs 370, because the road is short, the traffic is light and the comfort gap closes once the weather does the cooling for you.
Multan to Alipur bus timings
Not a fixed timetable so much as two overlapping patterns: local departures that run when they fill, and long distance northern coaches that call here.
Early morning
6:00 AM to 9:00 AMThe busiest window. Wagons leave continuously and the branded departure lands you before the heat.
Midday
10:00 AM to 3:00 PMThinner. A wagon advertised as leaving immediately can sit forty minutes waiting for its last four passengers.
Late afternoon
4:00 PM to 7:00 PMSecond peak, and when the long distance services pass through. The easiest window for a comfortable coach seat.
After dark
After 8:00 PMLocal traffic largely stops. What remains is through services, which may not sell a short sector seat.
The two hours is honest, the waiting is not counted
The road takes two hours in almost any conditions, because it is flat and lightly trafficked once you clear Muzaffargarh. What varies is the time before departure. A booked coach leaves when it says it will. A wagon leaves when the last seat sells, and nobody at the stand will tell you how long that will take.
Multan and Alipur terminals
Multan has five stands and only one matters here. Getting it wrong costs more time than the journey saves.
Multan
- Faisal Movers
- General Bus Stand, Vehari Chowk, opposite the metro bus station.
- Wagons and coasters
- The informal bays in the same complex. Ask for Jatoi if nobody responds to Alipur.
- Not these two
- Daewoo at Gaddafi Chowk on Khanewal Road and Niazi Express at Hassanabad serve other corridors, not this one.
Alipur
- Faisal Movers Alipur
- A staffed terminal in the town, unusual for a place this size.
- Alipur general stand
- Where the wagons set down, in the town centre.
- Worth knowing
- The branded terminal doubles as the booking office for northern services.
Why a town this size has a branded terminal
The reason is northern traffic, not local traffic. Seats to Islamabad, Rawalpindi and, in season, Gilgit, Hunza and Skardu are sold from Alipur. If you live in Alipur or Jatoi and you are going north, do not travel into Multan first. Coming the other way, the same fact works against you, because the coach may be holding its seats for passengers travelling ten times as far.
The road to Alipur
An early crossing of the Chenab, then the whole run on the west bank of the Indus. There is no motorway option and none is needed.
- Multan, Vehari Chowk Departure, km 0.
- Chenab bridge The crossing out of Multan district, km 30.
- Muzaffargarh District headquarters and the first pick up, km 45.
- Khangarh and Jatoi Jatoi is the larger town and has its own terminal, km 70 to 90.
- Alipur Arrival about two hours after departure, km 110.
Which Alipur are you going to?
Alipur in Muzaffargarh district is not Alipur Chatha, which sits in Gujranwala district roughly 500 km north, and neither is Ali Pur Farash on the edge of Islamabad. All three get booked by mistake. The test is simple: if the fare is under Rs 1,000 and the journey is around two hours, you have the right one. If a booking site offers you a seven hour service, you have selected the Gujranwala town.
Multan to Alipur bus vs train vs car
Alipur is not on a passenger railway line, which makes this one of the few corridors on the network where the bus has no rail competition at all.
Bus, booked seat
Rs 550to Rs 700 executive
A reserved seat with a terminal at both ends, and the only option that lets you fix a departure time in advance.
Best from April to October.
Wagon or coaster
Rs 250Cash to the conductor
Leaves when it fills rather than to a schedule, and stops wherever a passenger asks. Genuinely the sensible choice in the cool months.
Best from November to March.
Train
No serviceNo passenger line to Alipur
Alipur has no railway station, so the road is the only route in or out. Nothing on this corridor undercuts the wagon fare.
Rule it out entirely.
Cheapest way to travel from Multan to Alipur
The cheapest way is a shared wagon from Vehari Chowk at about Rs 250, and because there is no train to undercut it and no motorway service to beat it on time, the cheapest option is also the most frequent. A private car runs from about Rs 4,500 and saves fifteen minutes, which only makes sense split between three or four people. The gap from wagon to booked air conditioned seat is only around Rs 370, small enough that comfort rather than price should decide it.
Multan to Alipur bus FAQs
What is the Multan to Alipur bus ticket price?
About Rs 550 for a booked Hi Roof seat, Rs 620 for a standard air conditioned coach and Rs 700 for executive class on a through northern service. Shared wagons from Vehari Chowk charge roughly Rs 250 without air conditioning or a reserved seat.
How long does the Multan to Alipur bus take?
About two hours for 110 km, and closer to two and a half on a stopping wagon. The road is flat and lightly trafficked once you clear Muzaffargarh, so the running time barely varies.
Which operators run from Multan to Alipur?
Faisal Movers is the only branded operator on the corridor and it maintains its own terminal in Alipur. Everything else is informal wagon and coaster traffic out of the Multan General Bus Stand.
Is Alipur the same as Alipur Chatha?
No, and confusing the two is the most common booking error here. Alipur in Muzaffargarh district is two hours south of Multan. Alipur Chatha is in Gujranwala district, roughly 500 km north. Ali Pur Farash is on the edge of Islamabad. Any quote above Rs 1,000 or three hours means you have the wrong town.
Do I need to book in advance?
Usually not. Book ahead during Eid week, for seats together for a family, or for an air conditioned coach in summer. Note that coaches continuing north sometimes close their short sector quota first, so a seat can be unavailable even when a bus is clearly going your way.
Can I travel from Alipur to the northern areas directly?
Yes, and this is the terminal’s main purpose. Seats are sold from Alipur to Islamabad, Rawalpindi and, in the travel season, Gilgit, Hunza and Skardu. Starting from Alipur or Jatoi, book locally rather than travelling into Multan first.
Is there a train from Multan to Alipur?
No. Alipur is not served by a passenger railway line, so the road is the only option.
