The Faisalabad section problem

If you were planning to use it for this sector, confirm the current routing rather than relying on an older timetable. Badar Express, Ghouri Express and Shalimar Express are unaffected.

Karakoram Express at Rs 1,050 is the cheaper AC Standard option and Shalimar Express at Rs 1,710 the dearer. Shalimar received a modernised rake in late 2025, which explains part of the gap. A branch line with a future
The Khanewal to Shorkot to Faisalabad to Qila Sheikhupura to Shahdara corridor is on the list of sections receiving safety upgrades under the current development programme, and the Punjab government’s April 2026 DMU agreement includes a Faisalabad to Chak Jhumra to Shaheenabad service and a Sheikhupura to Jaranwala to Shorkot route.
